Good Luck Laura :D Hi Laura I would just like to wish you luck with this. My daughter is now 19 and found it very difficult when she first came here when she was 17 and ended up going back to UK. She has now returned and everything seems great at the moment, but she has commented that this section of the forum should be pinned with the other "Important Topics" All the best Marie

I wonder whether it may be an idea for you to perhaps get people to introduce themselves as a first point of contact, a bit like what has been done on the main site. This has been a huge success and it is so interesting to read everyone elses stories. Also, if people could put their ages down, then they can 'match up' more easily with others closest to their age. I'm a boring, fuddy duddy 41 year old with kids of 3 and 6 so I may have got this all wrong, but was just an idea. It must be very difficult for teenagers to resettle so far away, so every bit of help is a really good idea. Best of luck Lorraine

Member Posts: 10 Group: Members Member #1,906 Joined: 27 January 2008	hi im chantelle im 19 and have been in oz now for four years...at the beginning it was really hard and i hated the fact i had left all my friends in the UK....because i was sixteen and just finished my GCSE`s.....moving to aussie is the best thing i think my fami9ly have ever done... the lifestyle and how people react and work and live here is unbelieveable...and kinda make the Uk seem like a dark cloudy place where alot of ppl r miserable and sad....if anyone has any questions feel free to ask... i have been here a while now and know melbourne v v well take care and chat soon chantelle xx :thumbsup:
