Hello, thought this would be easy, but proving harder than first thought. Need a heating engineer to quote to put a brand new ducted system in under the house (it's on stumps). The existing unit is as old as the house (14yrs) and in the bloody roof space, not only is it out of date energy rated wise, I also seem to spend half our winter gas monies heating the atmosphere. I initially need an engineer to look at the old heater as it has blown the circuit panel and thermo couple (I think) during a recent bout of power outages, causing power surges, anyway it decided to turn itself on when the heat outside was 45 deg C, obviously thought it was darn cold. Need a report to say whats wrong and rough cost to repair or replace, seeing as SP Ausnet said they would accept a claim for damage. I'm a good labourer should the need arise, Hope soemone can assist :yeap: Gary |

They are about to be sued for the entire cost of the fire damage. Apparently started from a spark from a fallen powerline that came down too easily in the high winds. Therefore connection between actions or should I say inaction on the part of the company and the damage caused. Good luck with the ducted by the way. |

Bloody hell, that was an effort :yeap: Finally found a heating engineer that turned up, :ugh: cripes! just can't give some people money. Anyway decided to go for another ducted system, this time fitted under the house, five star energy rated heater. Anyone living over the East side can highly recommend a guy called Jason of Efficient heating and cooling, lives in Macclesfield, quality job clean tidy and actually took pride in the job, made sure I was happy with everything, even expained how the zone control worked. Price well extremely surprised, I was expecting to pay so much more than he quoted, had trouble looking disappointed at the quote, as I told him he had the job  Anyone needs his number PM me Gary (nice and warm now) :hot: |
