Hi Alan,
Happy to help ... from your post I presume you are in fact asking if your are still elgible for the First Home Owner Grant funds. The purchase of the land is not the trigger for the eligibility when constructing a new home, it is the date on which the building contract is signed / executed. So, your eligibility for the additional funds which could be up to $26,000 or even $29,000 (depending on where the land is that you are going to build on) is subject to a formal building contract, not the land purchase. At present that building contract has to be signed by June 30th this year to claim the increased amount. There is a lot of speculation, even expectation, that this date will be extended in the May Federal Budget, but at this stage the best advice is to try and have any building contract signed before June 30th if possible.

I hope I have understood your enquiry properly and that this reply helps - if I have misunderstood or you have further questions please feel free to call me on 0418 526 404, or email to adrian.williams@lightningfasthomeloans.com.au

Obviously if I can also assist with arranging the best finance option, I would appreciate being able to do so for you.

All the best, Adrian

Apologies, in my last post, the 'your' in the first sentence should have been 'you're' .... need to re-read material before posting it eh? Adrian!

Hi thanks adrian

what i meant to say was that our title is being released later than it shoul have and we had signed a building contact last year after the 26k grant date.
We were just worried that june was the cut off date when the funds stopped BEING PAID but it looks like everything is ok.

We are lucky we dont need any finance we are paying cash (but then we will have nothing left)!!! thats why the $26k was a help. Thats to furnish it and pay stamp duty etc

Hope this makes more sense

Al
