We had to evacuate a cafe in Boronia - it had waterfalls down two inside walls - not just a trickle - Niagra Falls!!! |

Says the Greensborough shopping centre roof is part off and water streaming in. We did get some heavy rain but fortunately the storm went either side of us. We got enough water at the weekend. Looks like some more on the way though. Poor farmers, they were all ready cutting the crops then the rain came at the weekend and they had to wait till the crops dry, then today more rain in the north east. Cannot take a trick, said to oh they just got used to dry cropping now they have rain. |

Goodness me that was a bad storm! It was very loud and I am sure a mini tornado ripped down our street  There are loads of trees down and i can hear the SES out there with their chainsaws. Our bathroom was flooded and there was water coming through the ceiling in one of the bedrooms (only got new carpets about a month ago too :crybaby: ) Just heard on the nes that Fountain Gate shopping Centre is closed due to flooding. Keep safe everyone and hope it doesn't get any worse overnight. Karen |

Was quite scary. Just got off the train at Berwick at 3pm when it all started. Not a nice walk to the car, I was soaked and the brolly was of no use at all. As I was wearing sandals I was slipping about everywhere, I ended up taking them off and walking bare foot to the car  The school kept the kids in until the storm had past which I thought was very sensible. Think there were a few upset kids in the school. Finally got home to find water had been coming in my daughter's bedroom window (window was securely shut) now trying to dry out her mattress and quilt before bed time. Fiona |

Hey you are a true Aussie now! We had heavy rain, thunder and lightning down here but thankfully not the wind. After the last windy storm and being without power for 18 hours - I'm not so keen on windy weather now! Just before I went out I looked across the bay from upstairs and ......could only just see to the other side of the road, there was no bay! Hope everyone is okay! KK |

Apparently Fountain Gate was evacuated due to part of the roof collapsing? |

Got home to Chase estate and found garage floor flooded, still have no idea how the water got in. Was the wind that strong? Or was it such a downpour that the water just ran in off the garden?? PJ |

I was parked outside the school waiting for my youngest to come out when the storm hit and I have to say the sky turned some very interesting colours!!! I couldn't believe the force in which the rain came down and the wind picked up from nowhere. |
