Hi :waving: I was just wondering if anyone has been to Funfields Amusement Park in Whittlesea. My son has seen the advert on TV and keeps asking to go so we thought we might take him for his birthday but just wanted to see if anyone on here has been and what you thought of it. Thanks x Edited by debb, 9 Feb 2010, 04:03 PM.

How old is your son? I think many of the rides are for restricted age and maybe height. |

Hi Deb, some freinds of ours have been and told me that its for younger kids and mine would probably find it not thrilling enough...lol so looks like it could be right up Harveys street !!! |

We are stuck with the situation that Matthew (6) would love to go, and would be able to do most if not all things their, but his little sister (3) would not be able to go on most things based on height. but she is old enough to know that she would want to go on them, We reckon we are going to have to wait until at least next summer. |

He'll be 7 in a couple of weeks, I've had a look at the website and think he'd be allowed on most of the rides  We were going to try Luna Park again as he missed out on a couple of the rides last time, as he wasn't tall enough but Funfields seems better value for the money as there's quite a bit more to do there. |

My seven year old son does exactly what yours does. We were thinking of camping up that way for a weekend and visiting it. Isn't there a water play area there too? |

Yes Caroline, have had a look on the web site and it looks like theres a couple of water slides and 'Bumpa Boats' which look really good fun  Thanks Tammy, I think you boys are probably a bit old for this kind of place now....... bring on Alton Towers!! Davyfella - You're probably right to wait a while it must be so hard trying to keep both of them happy, I feel for you. Thanks to those of you who replied, I think we're just going to try it and see how we go. Its a bit of a drive for us but Harvey is adamant he wants to go so will let you know how we get on. x |
