I can recommend Sovereign Hill. Great day out. So good we went twice :D Of course the Great Ocean Road is a must for everyone visiting Victoria When we eventually live in Victoria I can imagine driving down there quite often, I can't imagine ever getting bored with that scenery. Wilson's prom is well worth a good walk around...give yourself plenty of time though. Drive down to Mornington Peninsula, visit all the shops down there and all the beaches. Like Mount Martha :D |

All those are great suggestions but if anybody has a hankerin' to get away from the tourists why not go camping in the national parks in the "forgotten" east of the state e.g. alpine/croajingalong/errinundra parks for example. The mrs. & I went the the alpine park via. dargo a few months ago (before snow season!) and in our 15 days or so camping we had the whole campsites to ourselves wherever we stayed apart from 2 nights. A brilliant break if you really want to just get away from it all, sit by the camp fire, sink a few tinnies, view the spectacular scenery & wildlife etc. NJJ |

Puffing Billy is a great day out in the warmer weather, especially for Kids, large lake at other end, and bring your own picnic. Wilson's Prom for the camping as well as walks, lovely area. |
