Hi Michelle, Ive never been there but spoke to a few Ex pats who checked it out when looking for somewhere to live & loved the area.
Actually Anya might be one of them, hopefully she reads this soon.

Thanks Bill

I've got two boys 5 & 2 and we live in quite a rough area and the one thing i have said is that we are going to move straight to a good area and then we will sort out what we can buy.

Same here for a sample report. I suspect it may be necessary to register.

I think it comes down to personal preference.
For me, I find the area flat and too far from the city. When it was first developed people moved there because the land was relatively inexpensive and so more money could be spent on houses.

Not sure what you mean. If you put it on Victoria then type in a suburb name ( don't need the postcode ) then it will give you a report on that suburb. You don't need to register to get this report.

I found out what is going on. If you enter a suburb or area that is not recognised it will say !no report available for victoria. Try a different spelling or different name for your suburb or an area nearby e.g. we are in blackburn but it is also known as whitehorse.

Alas no, Bordy, we checked out Patterson Lakes, Sanctuary Lakes, Upper Ferntree Gully & Berwick: all were lovely places, but we finally settled in.....

Williamstown! (also known as Mount Thomas :) )

Anya.

But Blackburn is a very well established suburb. Whitehorse is not a suburb but it is probably the name of the local council. I grew up in Mitcham but council names have changed.
I tried both postcodes and suburb names for several well-known, established suburbs.
Maybe the site was having problems at the time.
These things happen.

Hi Anya,
Williamstown would have been my choice too. :)
Do you work over the bridge?
As I work in Brunswick, the commute and tolls would have been a significant addition to my expenses.

Bordy thanks for the offer. I persevered and after 3 suburbs with "no report" they started to come up so I went back to the original burbs I wanted and they worked!
What a useful web site! Leh

yes i know, perhaps i used a bad example but the point i was just trying to make is that if you enter a suburb or area that is not known in the database it seems to display an error message.
