If you are mad enough to drive into melbourne CBD the below may be of use when deciding if the cost of the tollway is worth it ! It gives Travel times on the Freeway & Tollways in Melbourne. http://apps.vicroads.vic.gov.au/mapview/overview.asp I use it when just about to leave office to go home & it is farly accurate as I always have important business at home :Beer: |

Handy site! I can see an academic making a list or doing a study of all the things which influence the decision as to whether a motorist will choose to travel on a toll road or non-toll road (Transport Economists for e.g). A quick think about it suggests things such as travel time, relative costs, distance, convenience, confidence in traffic, relative safety, whether a toll road goes close to your destination etc, etc, etc are relevant. Oh, and whether you have an e-tag or not is relevant as well because it might be inconvenient to do the pay within the time period thing if you don't have one. :D OzTennis :flag: |
