Hi Sula,
I take it from your question you are looking for employment in this area.
My wife is also looking for work within child protection so it would be good if we could swap notes and experiences!!?

Where are you in the UK
When and where are you looking to go? are you there already?
We're hoping to go around april time and heading either towards geelong or mornington initially but it depends on jobs.

Cheers Rich

What is your occupation?

I am a special ed teacher with student welfare training.

Is your experience of working along side them positive?

Mixed :)
I believe Human Serices are under-resourced and there is a high turnover of staff.

I guess that is why they have been trying to recruit British social workers!

Thanks for the info.

Hi Rich,
I live in West Yorkshire and will be visiting Victoria in March to have a good look around. I have arranged to meet up with a child protection manager in Geelong whilst I am out there. If we decide to move over it will be early 2006. Is your wife a social worker in the UK?

I will let you know how I get on.
