Hi, Been in Melbourne 3 months now, having problem finding Petite clothing.
In the UK I mostly shopped in Next and I`m missing it dearly.
So far I`ve only found Meyers, but they`re petite is 5ft 4ins and I`m only 5ft !! I`m looking for casual to smart, trendy but not teenage. Can anyone help ?
I`m not great with the needle and thread and alterations would be expensive, but soon I won`t have anything to wear !!
Waiting in anticipation Teresa

Hi Teresa,

My mother in law(4' 11" was over recently) and spent a fortune in the Werribee Plaza. The shop was called Katie's and apparently excellent value.

Hope this helps.

Hi,

I am 5'2 and I tend to buy my smart clothes from Portmans and Myers in the sales - they do stock size 6-8 ; Target sometimes has smart trousers (pants they call them) in shorter length too.

I'll let in on a secret - I sometimes buy kids clothing over here !!! Especially black trousers and jackets !!! DOn't tell anyone.. I'll get embarassed.

Sometimes I buy 3/4 lenght trousers and these suffice as normal length for me

Good luck

Teresa forgot to tell you she weighs 7st 2lb. She was 7st when I met her 18 years ago.

In the meantime I have put on 2st and she had put on 2lb. Women complain about having kids and putting on weight - what about men!!

Thanks for the replies. Please keep them coming as the desire for Next in Australia is getting monotonous.
