Member Posts: 21 Group: Members Member #283 Joined: 27 May 2005	Were waiting for our visa and ive sent off for my registration with NBV but still need to get a job, I'm a registered adult nurse currently working on the bank at my local hospital. How do I get contact details of hospitals in Melbourne and how do I contact them with my amazing :P CV and stuff snail mail or email. Would greatly appreciate any advice :Beer: mel x

They often do recruitment days over here. There is a new hospital in Boxhill called the Epworth Eastern which is where I will be working once I get my visa!!!!!! They were recruiting a lot of nurses as the hosp was new I think!!!! Good luck job hunting!!! :fingerscrossed: Roni

Have you already got a job? what speciality? What stage are you in you visa application? Sorry for all the questions but its just nice to speak to other nurses going to or in Melbourne, also I'm nosey :P Mel x

I have had some response from australia nursing solutions for agency and from the Northern Hospital about bank nursing, do you kow anything about these, what they are like to work for? Sorry to ask so many questions, but as you can apppreciate its a big deal and there are so many hospitals and agencies to choose from. Melx

We arrive on the 16th, just doing my 7th to last night shift here at the mo, thanks for the help. How was your trip to Perth? Melx

The trip to Perth was a nice break, we met up with some of the Ex pats over there & had a few drinks on the Friday night, ended up staying the night in Scossies house. But it was nice to come home to Melbourne. Ive been to Sydney & Perth now & still think Melbournes the best.

I have a job now in the Epworth Eastern in Orthopaedics. We are heading over to melbourne on 19th of Sept, now that we finally have the visa!!!! How about you? Have you had any of the interviews?
