My daughter is fifteen and due to take her exams next year. We hope to be in Melbourne this November (husband has job waiting.) I wanted her to stay here and finish her exams but she wants to come with us in November. Just wondered if any of you knew when children do exams in Victoria and what exams do they do ?

Will they let her repeat a year so she can take Australian exams ?

Would be very grateful for any information you may have

love jane

Just to letyou know I am a 15 year old boy who is in year 10. What happens over here is if you want to , you can let your daughter repeat a year. In Year 10 she will sit a set of exams at the end of each semester (6 months), one for each subject. In years 11 and 12 she will do VCE, the equivalent of GCSE, where she chooses 5 subjects for yr 11 and 4 subjects for yr 12, she will have 2 exams on these subjects per year.

May I also recomend that if you live anywhere near it you check out Keilor Downs College. I go to that school and it is really friendly, and they welcomed me in with open arms.
