Can anyone give me any advice on electrical appliance shop, being looking on the internet and cannot find many. As our furniture has not left the Uk yet we are hiring furniture for the house, but we want new electrical appliances, new sofa, and beds. We have got all these coming from Uk, bt want to buy new ones here.

Any help is really appreciated.

have you tried Harvey Norman
http://www.harveynorman.com.au/viewPage.tho
it has a store locator on the site there seems to be one in most large shopping malls.

Target are a good price , as are the Good guys

Hi - hope this is not too late......

When we arrived we looked around a bit and researched what we wanted etc. compared prices and guarantee/warranty on appliances

We bought our major white good appliances from Myer's - haggled with them and got a fab deal as we bought the Washing Machine, Fridge and TV from them.

Small electrical items - again reliable brands can be found at Myer.

I find Target, Kmart and BIG W tend to stock the same brands and BIG W in general are cheaper

Beds - we bought from Snooze. Table from Easy Living ( New Zealand wood). Again it all depends what you are after.

If you are anywhere near Nunawading there are zillions of furniture stores on the White Horse Road - as are at other places around Melbourne for eg. Geelong Rd etc. etc.

Happy Shopping

Furniture - good sturdy wood products found over here.
