We got the news we had been waiting for just before Xmas - we',ve got our visa!!! Great excitement and now panic!!! What to do first??? Areas to live, schools for the children, sell the house, sort out our finances????? Any comments gratefully received! We are hoping to splash down later in the year - Sept probably and would love to compare notes with fellow adventurers! we are in Kent - anyone close by? Have had a fair bit of negative reaction from family so would be great to share our excitement with like-minded people!
Best wishes and Happy New Year to you all,
Jacky and Graham Howgate.

Hi Jackie and Graham

I am not sure but I think I replied to your email over christmas. If you didn't get it then congratulations. We got ours Monday before xmas and it was a great feeling. So much to do now. We have made some enquiries for shipping. We have also started to sort out our things this wekend and can't believe how much we have accumilated over the years. We have also had a negative response from my husbands sisters since we told them that we was emmigrating. They have not spoken to us for months now. Its such a shame as I think they will be the ones missing out with the time that we have left in the uk. I don't think they like the idea of losing a brother as we are close by if there are any problems. They have used the children as an excuse for us not to go by saying that the children would have abetter life here and can not see from our point that we think our family will benefit more in oz. My husband has now given up hope of not speaking to them and we are now just looking forward to our future with our own little family. Other family members and friends have been really good and say that they will all visit. I hope you can sort out all your problems and I wish you lots of luck and happiness for your future.

Lorraine
