Hi,

My husband works for a forktruck firm called linde, back in the uk. I was wondering if anyone out in oz actually works for this company, and if so what are the wages like.

Much appreciated. :med smiley:

Hi there, I am new to the site. We have been looking at moving to aus for the last 6 months. But unfortunatley Hubbies job (industrial sales rep) 6 years previous exp, is on the sol list but he has no degree and so therefore we were advised by immigration agents that our only hope of getting to OZ would be to get 457 sponsorship and then hopefully PR after 2 years. Cant get independant skilled visa due to lack of degree.
We started to apply for jobs in Aus to no avail. Hubby applied for work with Linde australia but was told to go get experience and then go back to them. He has just started last month working for Linde in the UK. Fantastic as I dont think he could get any better experience than actually working for the company itself!!!!We are planning on waiting 12 months and asking if they will transfer us on a 457 to Melbourne. We are prepared to pay for all costs but just want the job and visa. Hope this is going to be possible!!!!

Out of interest did Linde sponsor your oh to move over to Aus or did you move on a independant visa?

Thanks

He is based in Castleford, In Yorkshire
That is good to know - so there are people that are in Oz on a temp visa through Linde then. They do offer the visas. That is a relief - lets hope they will do it for us when the time comes!!!!
We need to be sponsored to get over there, and then apply for PR after 2 years. Otherwise we need to go down the student route, which we want to avoid if possible!

Many thanks for your reply
