Map of Melbourne

from this site you can see the map of melbourne as basic map, as collection of satellite images of melbourne, or "hybrid" with road names on top the satellite images. :P Nice way to check out the neighbourhood. I like to try and find different properties, and see for my self what they look like.

For now I have not figured out how to do a search of melbourne to find a elusive suburb, but you can zoom in and out out to get a broader view. If you go close enough you can actually see the cars on the roads. One problem is that, as this is satellite imagery, the images are takes directly straight up so you cant see the sides of the smaller buildings.

this map service does not just cover melbourne, it covers the entire world, and the quality of the satellite images varies greatly.
