Hi all, We've been in melbourne nearly two months now but when we first arrived we needed a short-term place to stay while we looked for a rental. Through stayz.com.au we found Empress Cottage in Yarraville (in the wetsern suburbs). What a fab place! Lee and Des who own the place are wonderful people and became such good friends we spent Xmas day with their family which was lovely. Should point out it's only suitable for a couple or single - not really room for kids as I'm sure you can tell from the website. It's handy for getting into the CBD too - a 10-minute walk from either Yarraville or West Footscray station, and then about a 15-min journey into the CBD.
