Newbie Posts: 1 Group: Members Member #1,360 Joined: 29 April 2007	Hi there, My wife and I moved out to Ballarat from England about 3 years ago.... and its great!! Its a big country city with a population of around 80K, and its growing fast! Most things that you would need are here. Shops, good schools, good food, 2 hospitals, universities etc etc. The disadvantages are the distance to the beach is at least 1.5 hours. Also, if you travel to Melbourne often, the drive gets boring, although its only an hour to the eastern suburbs. Good luck!
