I am sitting on the floor in an echoey empty house, which once was a nice home. Now it has become a temporary camp site for one very excited family. Cannot believe we are flying in 3 days! It is limboland at present, parties, goodby's & all that & back to basics with air beds & cereal out of plastic cups. The removl co. packed everything, even our loaned duvets from family, plastic cups to get us through till we flew & my daughters cuddly toy! That was nearly a disaster. The container was 3/4 full & twiller the cat was blocked in at the front. Mums bribery skills with Maria were really stetched to the max while 3 stressed looking packers sat on the kirb. Mums are great arent they! Everyone says we look really happy, amist what is essentially an organised stressfull chaos. We complete on the house Monday, take dog to airpets Tuesday & fly with 2 probably coiled springs of kids at 10pm on Wednsday. Funny how selling every last thing bar your sole & your VW camper (of course!) & flying off to a strange new country with no friends family etc. Can make you so happy! Next time I post we will probably be in our temp. let in Hampton, recovering from the effects of being squeezed inside a tin can for 26 hrs. Cant wait to get there now, especialy as I'll soon be able to cheer for a rugby team that might actually win something (Englnd 0h The shame!!!!) Come on Australia!!! |

hello...good luck for the flight etc...i was worried how to keep kids happy but with little tv's on every seat and lots of films and cartoons...my daughter didn't sleep for almost 20 hours...she was too encrossed..then she sleep for about 5 hrs when she finally fell asleep...pure blish...the flight is long and getting through the terminal, luggage claim and customs seems to take for ever but it is all worth it...hope all is ok for your temp home..good luck for your new life down under...i wouldn't go back to england to live for all the tea in china...helen |

Cheers Pete & co. Good luck with the house! We were a bit lucky as booked everything 1st, wanting to leave & hoping it would all fall into place & thought we would let if it didnt. We came to conclusion, that for us selling was best. As we could give it 110% over there. Hoe it all slots in place soon. Reards Simon, Jenny, Scott & Maria |
