Yes,

The visa has been granted,

We got a text message at 5.50 am ! The phone is next to the bed (used as an alarm clock) so it woke us, but with great news.

I think we can start to get 'officially' (and rightly) excited now.

Just waiting to see when the dogs can get into quarantine & then we can book our flights..........yeah

Thinking of doing a stopover in Sydney for a few days before getting into Melbourne, what do you think?

All the best,

Congratulations. It's a great feeling isn't it.

You'll be there before you know it.

Good luck

well done with the visa's.

That was quite quick looking at your timescale.

If you dont have to start work soon after arriving, or have other commitments, I would recommend making the most of it when you come over. I had 4 weeks before I started work, and we spent quite few days enjoying ourselves as well as organizing everything else.

Good luck with the rest now.

Paul, Sarah, Ben, Jayne and dogs (did I miss anyone?)

Congratulations on the visa grant.......

Sydney is VERY different to Melbourne if you're thinking of a stopover. Personally, I love the city but it was a while ago when I was there, I'm sure you'll get some more up to date advice from someone shortly.

We flew with Singapore Airlines and stopped off in Singapore. Didn't see outside of the airport but did book into the Transit Hotel for the day, sat by the pool while the kids swam and played, all very relaxing. :D

Good luck and see you in Melbourne soon?
