Hi Rob, marie and Terri Thanks for the nice coments, sorry I had to leave you. We only allow Mum out once a year, so it was a bit of a surprise to see her at me chippie. I have got some "chip shop curry" and looking for people to practice on, any takers ? Will get some curry powder to beef it up if needs be. Is chip shop curry sauce hot or mild? Cheers Vic |

Hi Bordy A bit quiet over the last week, but meeting lovely expats. Also getting lots of Aussies in, asking what a chip or bacon buttie is :-) Lot's of people are eating in, more than I expected, and I enjoy having a chat with some, if time permits. I am considering adding gammon steak, pineapple, egg and chips to the menu, but for eat-in only. Cheers Vic |

Hi Vic We are from Cumbria and the chip shop curry sauce was always very mild and usually had sultanas in it. Terri has actually tried the Bisto curry sauce and says it's a good sustitute, although not quite the same. |

Had a drive up to Vicz chippy tonight and ate in. 3 adults and 4 children, 7 clean plates and no complaints. Excellent food and well worth a visit. We drove up from Tyabb about half an hour away so I now challenge you all to travel from further afield for a great meal. Thanks Vic, best wishes Andy and Kath |

Hi Andy, Cath and mob What a crazy Fri' night, what happened to me quiet little caf', everybody came at the same time! Sorry I wasn't able to chat Andy, but trying to cook under a waterfall as the roofed leeked, and the floor was awash with a mix of water and oil, cooking times became a little slow. It was a real comedy act in the kitchen, but I do thank you for your kind words about the food, I hope you enjoyed it. I thank you also for giving me a call before you came, I was able to reserve those tables for you. Hope to see you again, at a quieter time :-) Cheers Vic |

Hi Vic, Just thought I'd add how 2 Ex-Oldhamers enjoyed our Fish, Chips and mushy peas...afraid to say we couldn't leave clean plates as there was too much for us! If you do decide to do Steak Pudding I'd be glad to phone in my order in advance to get there....especially with gravy and mushy peas! Why not ask on Britvics if there would be much call for it? If people are aware of the 40 min wait they may phone ahead if you decide to add them to the menu. Great to see you on Tuesday, just to let anyone know Dandenong Market is on a Tuesday, Friday(PM), Sat http://www.dandenongmarket.com.au/ why not coincide a visit to Vicz for lunch/tea and make it a decent day out? Good luck, great chips! Louise (and Dad!) |

Hi Vic Thanks for the chat and the yummy blue eye, chips and mushy peas! Recommend a trip there to all. Can anyone beat a trip from Geelong? ;) Well, we did have the day out too, there are some beautiful parts to the other side of the bay. Cazzy |

Hi Cazzy and family Nice to meet you all, and glad to hear you enjoyed the grub. Don't worry, free Tasmanian oysters only happen once a year, but I may do free haggis for you next time :-) Sadly I had one dozen oysters left, yum! Your right Cazzy, their are many nice places round the bay, do the same trip in March, cooler weather, and a lot less people, it's even better. Cheers Vic |

I moved from Bradford to Ireland when I was 7 with my parents. I always enjoyed the holidays back to family in Bradford over the years which always included as many fish, chips and mushy peas as we could stock up on!! Will def be taking a trip over to your cafe Vic and my parents are coming over for a holiday in March. When they hear there is a Bradford fish and chip shop in the vacinity the will be exstatic. Esp when my Dad hears you do Fish Cakes. Do you do B&B  |
